Case Study - Agfa Corporation - Salient Publishing System

The Agfa Corporation USA Graphics Division asked us to build completely integrated publishing systems within rack cabinets. They needed each system to be customized for and drop-shipped to a specific end-user customer. Their goals included:

Reduce the Mean-Time-To-Install a system from a week or more down to 1 or 2 days.

Eliminate performance bottlenecks and network errors by incorporating a dedicated switched gigabit ethernet network within the system.

Eliminate power problems by incorporating a dedicated high performance UPS power supply within each system.

Minimize system clutter and space requirements by utilizing a central multi-channel matrix KVM switch with dual consoles.

Eliminate errors and inconsistencies in the installation and configuration of their publishing software modules by delivering a system with all software factory-installed and configured.
